Bartlesville Area Sports Report

That super-sized splashing sound you heard Tuesday (Nov. 19) evening in downtown Bartlesville was not a pop-up tidal wave.

It was just the king-sized swamping unleashed by the Bartlesville High School swim squads against an unfortunate slate of deluged visiting teams — which included Stillwater, Carl Albert, Midwest City, Del City and town cousin Wesleyan Christian School.

By the time Bartlesville had flogged its foes with a flood of success a rainbow glow of success spanned the inner walls of the Phillips Aquatic Center.

On the boys side, the Bartlesville Bruins beat its five opponents by a cumulative point total of 625-133. The Lady Bruins beat their four challengers (Wesleyan Christian didn’t have a girls’ team), 626-32.

Both the Bartlesville boys’ and girls’ crews remained unbeaten for the season.

Chad Englehart is in his 10th season as head coach.
