Bartlesville Area Sports Report
Bartlesville High School’s swimming team didn’t start the season with just a big splash.
A tidal wave was more like it.
The Bruins overpowered their four opponents by a combined score of 501-85, while the Lady Bruins rolled over three opponents, 442-60.
The Lady Bruins surged into the season on blue-tipped determination to defend their Class 6A state girls title; the Bruins are looking for that little extra that will propel them to the top after finishing second in the state boys competition.
Bartlesville hosted Tuesday’s (Nov. 5) opener, who's visiting teams included Wesleyan Christian School, Ponca City, Muskogee and Fort Gibson.
Wesleyan Christian’s Sam Conrad captured two gold medals as his school’s only representative.
Chad Englehart is beginning his 10th season as the Bartlesville High head swimming coach.
Following are some highlights for the Bartlesville teams.
