make your super bowl prediction!

While football fans from Moose Jaw to the moon get caught up in the blitz for Super Bowl LIX (Feb. 9), the Bartlesville Area Sports Report  (BASR) wants to give you a chance to be part of the Super Bowl BASR Bash prediction party.

The matchup features the Kansas City Chiefs — who will be battling for an unprecedented third-straight Super Bowl title — against the upset-minded and phantastic Philadelphia Eagles.

Each reader can submit your pick — complete with score — to the BASR, which plans to publish on its website and Facebook page the entire list of predictions, along with the name of the predictor, prior to the game. Submission deadline is 11:59 p.m. (Bartlesville time) on Saturday (Feb. 8).

The winning pick will be determined on: 1) Selecting the victorious team; 2)  picking the right score; and 3) in lieu of no one guessing the exact score having the lowest total point differential from the actual score.

In other words, let’s say someone predicts Kansas City will win, 35-21, and the actual score is 31-18. The total point differential would be seven — four points different from the winning score and three points different from the losing score.

If there is a tie in lowest total point differential, the person who picked closest to the score of the winning team will win.

If there’s still a tie, a coin flip will follow.

If more than one person picks the exact score, each will be co-winners.

The winner(s) will be announced on the BASR, accompanied by a photo (likely asked to be submitted) and an article.

Submission info is listed below:

You can email us your prediction, or go to our Facebook page and place it in the body of the Super Bowl Prediction post. You may also send your prediction through our Facebook page private messages. If using email, please be sure to leave your name.
