Keidon Holt — the Dewey Lightning Bolt — turned up his voltage to major overdrive during last weekend’s Pawhuska High School track meet.

Despite competing in arctic conditions more suitable for a penguin Winter Olympics, Holt jolted the rest of his competition to win both boys hurdles races, at distances of 110m (:15.38) and 300m (:41.49).

Holt was the lone athlete from participating area schools (Pawhuska, Dewey, Wesleyan Christian School, Caney Valley and Barnsdall) to capture two individual championships.

His Dewey teammate Camrin Jones pulled off a trifecta of sorts in girls events — first in the high jump (5-0), second in the long jump (14-8.25) and third in the 400m dash (1:05).

Eden McKinney of Dewey stormed to first in the girls 100m hurdles (:17.34) and second in the girls 300m hurdles (:53.05).

Pawhuska’s Tripp Walker found smooth sailing in the air — first place in the boys high jump (5-10) and second place in the boys long jump (18-2.75).

Riley Neel of Pawhuska peeled out for first in the girls 300m hurdles (:51.57) and third in the 100m hurdles (:18.08).

Pawhuska’s Brooklyn Miles also turned in a golden effort (400m, 1:02.3).

Kavery Weathers of Dewey hustled to a pair of runner-up finishes, the boys 110m hurdles (:17.92) and the boys 300m hurdles (:42.28).
