Bartlesville Area Sports Report

JAY STUMPFF

Stumpff has devoted countless hours during a large chunk of his adulthood to serve as a color announcer for area radio sports broadcasts.

For many years he and Adam Hooper formed an energetic duo that brought listeners a vivid visual picture of area athletic games, particularly Nowata and Dewey.

Stumpff also has served as the color man/stat keeper for KWON Voice of the Bruin Evan Fahrbach, both for football and basketball.

Stumpff also is a lifetime devoted sports fan — especially for his beloved Oklahoma Sooners.

This writer recalls his first summer in Bartlesville when the Examiner-Enterprise Football League held its first fantasy football draft in the E-E break room. Stumpff and his young wife Dianne participated and put together a team. They participated for multiple years in the EEFL.

Throughout the years, Stumpff has dedicated many, many hours of time to help announce games, keep stats and in other ways.

The Stumpff’s children Trey and Christi also became key and devoted volunteers for Bartlesville High’s athletic program during their student years.

Jay and his family are blessings to local sports and to the entire community.
