Former Bartlesville High School baseball great Jakob Hall is headed to his first minor league baseball team assignment.

The Minnesota Twins sent Hall — a right-handed pitcher — to their Single A squad in Fort Myers, Fla., known as the Mighty Mussels.

The Mussels are scheduled to open their season Friday.

Hall (6-foot-2, 195 pounds) was picked by the Twins on the 8th round (248th all-around) in last summer's baseball draft.

Minnesota signed him last summer and he reported this past winter to the Twins' training camp system.

Hall was a 2021 Bartlesville High graduate. He then distinguished himself as an ace pitcher for Oral Roberts University, helping to elevate the Golden Eagles to the College World Series in 2023.

Following an excellent 2024 campaign for ORU, Hall heard the call by Minnesota.

Hall's combined stats at ORU his sophomore (2023) and junior (2024) seasons included an 18-6 record, 205.2 innings, 204 strikeouts, 38 walks and an approximate earned run average of 3.90. Opponents batted less than .250 against him and he was charged with just six wild pitches in 34 games while facing 852 batters.

As a young teenager Hall played for United Linen in the Bartlesville Area Amateur Baseball 14-and-under league.

Hall also excelled in American Legion Baseball competition for the Bartlesville Doenges Ford Indians.
