ROLLING IN GOLD: Bartlesville gymnasts excel at home and in Kentucky

Rain storms refresh the soil and invigorate new life for vegetation and beast alike.
Raynie storms — the Bartlesville Gymnastics Club (BGC) type — fuel blossoms of fluid athletic grace.
Such was the case late last month when Raynie Ketcher put Bartlesville on the national gymnastics map with her leap to glory at the 2025 Nastia Liukin Cup held in Louisville, Ky.
Ketcher powered to ninth place among the 22 top Level 10 athletes in the nation. More than 20 states were represented in the massive competition.
“I would bet we were the smallest town and smallest club that had an athlete compete at this event,” said Lorrie Bertolet, the BGC Executive Director/Head Coach.
On the same weekend that Ketcher made history as the first-ever local athlete ever to compete in this event, the BGC hosted the 2025 Super RockStar Championship USA Gymnastics meet at Bartlesville’s Adams Gym.
A total of 14 BGC athletes finished first-place All-Around in their respective divisions at this grueling hometown event.
Following are more details from the RockStar meet — at which King Elvis made a surprise appearance — and the Liukin Cup.

Due to her oversight on the same weekend of the Super RockStar meet in Bartlesville, Bertolet didn’t travel to Kentucky to experience live Ketcher’s extraordinary effort.
Bertolet did keep track by watching online.
“I was brought to tears when she qualified (for the Liukin Cup competition) and was brought to tears again watching her compete at this high level as I could see her joy in all of her performances,” Bertolet said. “We were all watching and cheering her on. I know Raynie could feel my support. … This was the hugest accomplishment by any gymnast to come out of the Bartlesville program.”
Competing in the juniors group, Ketcher compiled 37.725 points to finish 9th All-Around out of 22 competitors.
She made her best showing in the floor exercise (9.475), tying her for fifth in the nation.
Ketcher grabbed 11th place on both the uneven bars (9.425) and the balance beam (9.275). She recorded 13th on the vault (9.55).
“We had one goal, to go in and enjoy the experience,” Bertolet said. “We said: ‘Go in and do your best and show the athlete that you are and who you want to be.’”
Mission accomplished.

“It was a fun meet with coaches and volunteers dressing up in their favorite rock star outfits,” said Bertolet. “Even though the atmosphere was fun, the competition was fierce.”
The BGC All-Around winners included: Kinlee Littleford (Level 10, 34.475), Brooklyn Sylvester (Level 7, 38.0), Harper Maudlin (Level 8, 37.825), Lyndsey Lief (Level 9, 35.875), Marley Dunlap (A2, Sr., 37.475), Elaine Gregory (A2, Jr A, 37.525), Alicia Landers (A3, Sr., 35.175), Irie Carter (A3 Jr. A, 35.1), Atley Brzezinski (AXC, Sr., 37.35), Brixley Hayes (AXS, Jr. B, 37.525), Rylee Laxson (XG, Sr., 37.75), Haylee Clark (XG Jr., 37.75), Alia Calhoun (XS Sr., 38.375) and Sophia Johnson (XS Jr., 38.025).
Four Bartlesville girls made golden sweeps — winning every individual event (vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise) on their way to All-Around supremacy. This list included: Lief, Hayes, Clark and Calhoun.
BGC girls that won three of the four events included: Littleford, Maudlin, Sylvester, Dunlap, Gregory, Carter and Johnson.
That means these 11 girls accumulated a total of 48 gold medals, including their All-Around first-place medals.
In team results, Bartlesville captured the championship trophy at Level 8, Level 9, Level 10 and Xcel Gold, and finished second in Level 7.
